Here’s a little peek into an engagement session I shot recently in the Napa area. I had a wonderful time during the session, especially enjoying the opportunity to capture them interacting as a complete family. Congrats to all four of you!

Being behind on my blogging to begin with – and then getting sick on top of the busy-ness – does NOT help this photographer get ahead. So now that I am feeling almost 100% better, I would like to present the engagement session from the wedding I have scheduled next… Amy and Doug. This is one of the sweetest couples I have ever met, and I am so happy that they have found each other. Can’t wait for their April wedding!

I warned you it was coming, and here it is! I feel confident in posting some of my favorite shots from this session because – well, Melissa is my best friend. So what’s the worst she would do to me for posting the shots that make me giggle? :-) Besides – this is what a REAL family looks like!

If my current loyal readers followed my work on Myspace last year, you may have seen these shots from the Sable’s session last November:

And here are a few from our session this year. I love this family!

Meet my best friend Melissa. She’s beautiful, isn’t she? The most beautiful thing about Melissa is the fact that she is a wonderful person inside and out – one of the the most loyal, caring, and generous people I know. I hope you enjoy this little teaser of the Sable family session – and stay tuned because there is MUCH more to come!

It has been so rewarding to see this family grow in the past year. When I first met them, the Mickey family was a lovely little family of three. Soon after being introduced to Chastity, I began to have regular sessions with them (seen here and here), watching their threesome grow into a complete family of four. Cayla has been a gorgeous little addition, growing from a petite, exotic-looking newborn to a charming, smiley six-month-old. Chastity and Keith have so much to be thankful for!

This season’s family sessions are off to a wonderful start. Unfortunately, this means that I have less time for blogging since I am spending so much time with these awesome families! But I am sure that my loyal blog-readers understand. :-) And because everyone has been so patient with me, I am posting one superblogpost with some of my favorite shots from a few sessions. Enjoy!

I am keeping this short due to how many sessions I still have to edit, but I promise there are more to come! If you are interested in a family session like those posted above, I have only one or two weekend slots left before Christmas. Contact me right away! :-)

For me, one of the most interesting things about this session (other than having TWO Andreas on my hands!) was the fact that I had two models with very different ideas of what they wanted. This is Andrea M., and you can probably see how different her shots came out compared to those of Andrea C. Because of the two very different personalities and the fun atmosphere, this had to be one of my favorite sessions of all time!

Here is yet another engagement session at another super fun (for me!) location. I know it’s sad, but this was my first trip to the Chico State campus. Jen and Brian doubled as amazing models AND tour guides on my first trip to the university. Congrats on your engagement, you two! I know your wedding will be a blast!

When Lona, Josh, and I sat down to talk about their engagement session, I was very pleased to hear that they were interested in shooting in Santa Cruz. It’s always so nice for me to get out of town and get a little variety in my sessions, so I instantly agreed and jumped on the opportunity. Upon arrival, Santa Cruz was cool and beautiful – perfect weather for a big, comfy sweater. Lucky for us, the sun also decided to peek out in the middle of our session. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day – Lona and Josh are such a sweet couple!

And it didn’t take much encouragement to get them to act like they liked each other! :-)

Thanks for a wonderful evening on the Boardwalk, Lona and Josh! I am looking forward to your wedding in May!

If the title of this blog seems kind of odd, that was my intention. This is “The Andrea” boudoir session because on this afternoon, I was lucky enough to capture not one beautiful Andrea, but two! This first part will cover the gorgeous Andrea C., an awesome gal that I have known for a little over a year now. She was in the market for a boudoir session with a pin-up look as a gift for her partner. I would have to say that we were successful in capturing some amazing images of her. :-) And, of course, stay tuned for the second part of the Andrea session!

And ladies – don’t forget: Christmas is coming up! If you are interested in scheduling a session like Andrea’s, booking early will be important. With all of the family portrait sessions going on before Christmas, my schedule is filling up fast!
