This post is LONG overdue, but unfortunately it had to wait for a couple of weeks. Wedding season has been especially busy so far this year (YAY!), so updating the blog has been a bit more challenging for me. Luckily, I am doing a pretty good job with it so far. In addition to being so busy, I had been working with another photographer on this wedding, and I am excited to present a little preview of our work together.

My new friend Calvina was awesome enough to join me in shooting Jantze and Nathan’s wedding. And although the weather was not so nice, we still had a great time and got some great shots out of it. The one thing I love about shooting with Calvina is the fact that she is so good about capturing those detail shots. Seeing the same event from her perspective was also an added bonus. (Look for my notes on which shots are Calvina’s.)

These next four are also by Calvina.

The next few shots were kind of fun for us – Calvina’s perspective (and position) versus mine. I just HAD to take the one of her in her spot on the floor! :-)

While I was taking this…

Calvina had to do this…

In order to capture this. So. FUN.

Jantze and Nathan, despite the weather, your wedding was lovely. Thanks for the opportunity to share your special day with you. I promise that there are many more shots to come!

I spent my past Saturday evening with this fun couple during my first trip to China Beach in San Francisco. Lisa and Jason are having their wedding this September in Lake Tahoe, and Lisa decided that a beach session would be fitting for the theme of their Tahoe wedding. We had a great session, and an even more interesting time taking in all of the activities going on at the beach that day. I definitely recommend that you visit this beach if you are going to be in the area – it was in a gorgeous neighborhood, semi-secluded, and not completely packed. It was surprising to me that it wasn’t busier – this was one of the warmest days of the season!

Lisa and Jason, thank you for being so patient with me and all of my ideas. Your laid-back attitudes and laughter truly made my Saturday night worthwhile! Can’t wait for the wedding in September!

Natalia and family

I truly enjoyed spending my evening with this lovely family.  Christian, Patti, and Uziel welcomed little Natalia into their family at the end of April, and this is just a small sample of the images that we captured today.  I have to point out how great Patti looks two weeks after giving birth – I am sure all of the mothers out there agree with me!

I would like to take this opportunity to mention the name of Danielle’s florist. She chose to work with Pam at The Palette in Las Vegas. I have to say that after viewing the website, the pictures don’t do the flowers justice. Anyone getting married in Las Vegas needs to at least go and take a look at this fabulous florist! According to Danielle, Pam did everything she could to make the flowers perfect for Danielle and Jon’s special day – even going above and beyond what was necessary. Finding that kind of service these days is not easy!

Back to the pictures – I had so much fun with these! I didn’t even get a chance to post anything from the reception, but I’m okay with that. :-)

I knew this was going to be an awesome wedding. After all, it’s Las Vegas! What could be better?! However, I never knew I would fall in love with so many images from this shoot. Danielle was glowing and an absolutely breathtaking bride. We took so many great shots together that it has become necessary to split this post into two parts.

Danielle and Jon’s little girl Nichole was the flower girl. She was so adorable!

Danielle kept telling us all how much she LOVED her bouquet. We all agreed that the florist did an amazing job. I will credit them in part two – I forgot the name! (Shame on me!)

Nichole had to get some love from Dad too. :-)

Danielle and Jon, I had so much fun being a part of your special day. I know that by the end, we were all so pooped that we could barely walk, but I think it was worth it. :-)
