Here’s a quick look at my evening tonight. Sabrina and I ran all over the area with her in multiple outfits in order to get as many gorgeous shots of her as possible. Here is a little proof that we were successful. You look hot, girl!

One of the greatest things about being a photographer is the DIVERSITY in the types of sessions you can offer. While I consider myself a “wedding photographer”, I also enjoy sessions that include newborns, families, children, and boudoir photography. In the middle of wedding season and shooting back-to-back weddings, a pleasant reprieve can be found in these smaller sessions. Because of this (and all of my HUNDREDS of other reasons), I love my job.
Meet Ellie, the daughter of one of my oldest friends. Ellie turns one today, so her mother is using this session to both document the one-year mark AND for modeling purposes. This sweet little girl has been competing in pageants since February, and it’s no surprise that she has accumulated an impressive pile of trophies over the past few months. (Believe me, I have been in her room – I’ve seen them!)
Happy birthday to Ellie! And thank you, Melissa, for allowing me to document some of her most important milestones and activities!
I just had to post the rest of my favorites from this session! These kiddos are obviously UBER adorable, and I had such a good time during their session!
And, of course, my favorites of sweet little Ella:
I believe the question posed was, “Last one! Who wants a treat?!”
Here’s a little sneak peek for mom – these three needed updated head shots, so we went on a mission to capture them. Lucky for me, the sun was finally showing itself. I missed the sun!
My favorite shot of the day has to be of little Ella. Who can resist vibrant blue eyes and wild blonde hair on a four-year-old? Pair that with the beautiful light and I was in heaven!
Here’s a quick little post about a friend of mine who contacted me about doing her acting head shots. Lindsay is my former co-worker, and is one of the sweetest, most generous souls I have ever met. She’s the person who is quick to volunteer the organization of a birthday night out on the town or even something as simple as a necessary mid-day Taco Bell run. So I was extremely flattered when she contacted me last week about getting some head shots done – apparently I was the first person she thought of.
Lindsay is taking acting classes in Sacramento, and is already acting in and working on the set of a film that is being shot locally. Good luck to her in her endeavors in the entertainment industry!
Also: stay tuned for another awesome post from Lisa and Jessie’s wedding – I just received a disk full of incredible shots from my second, Calvina. Can’t wait to see what she came up with!
